Short attention span knitter

I just can't bring myself to work on any sweaters lately. Don't know why. Partly I've had less time to knit, partly the thought of stockinette bores me, partly I know that none of them will be done for a good two months at my pace.

Also, we got a Nintendo Wii.

I'm on a "GetFit" team at work, and each member has pledged to do 30-60 minutes of exercise a day. It's been too too cold to contemplate going out to the gym at night, so instead I've been getting my time in via WiiSports, particularly the tennis and boxing (the bowling, golf, and baseball don't get my pulse going nearly as much). Husband is amused at how much I go on the the attack in the boxing game (hey, I *have* been taking kickboxing for a few months now at the YMCA); R says he doesn't like to see me, i.e. my avatar, get hit. Aww.

I have made a few small things though. I bought 3 skeins of Fonty Riviera at a sale - it looks like Himalayan silk, but it is mainly acrylic. I made a little keyhole neckscarf out of slightly more than one ball. Also, I tried out some of the Patternworks' Bretton superwash and made a pair of navy "Scrumptious Shagged Slippers" for R. Also have pink Bretton for a matching pair for Z. Of course the pattern name kept evoking Austin Powers to me during the knitting.

Also, I had been turning the ball of Kidsilk Haze into a Seafoam Shawl from One Skein Wonders, but as usual I tried to rush and finish it late at night and bound off way too tightly, and now have to try to frog about three rows of sticky laceweight. It also does not appear that it'll be big enough for a shawl, but maybe a big triangular scarf. Not as satisfying as I hoped.

Lisa's been using the 'One Skein Wonders' book too. As a knitter's husband, I wholeheartedly endorse that book as a way to get rid of the extra yarn that can litter one's home over the years. (or at least convert them into something giftable!)

Let me know if freezing the Kidsilk Haze helps with the frogging.

oh, that shagging thing looks interesting. I've never seen it before. How does it work? Or, can you offer a link with some instructions? I'm too afraid to google it.
